We wanted the values to be actionable, meaning that we wanted them to be a guiding principle that would help define future goals. They do not have specific measurements like a goal.

We agreed to focus on values unique to our group, rather than values commonly shared and practiced by many types of groups. We assume our colleagues are already following principles such as professionalism and ethical behavior, as examples.
