The Education Committee exists to assess the educational needs of the Chapter members and to assist with the selection of continuing education classes and/or professional development activities at the Chapter Annual Meeting.
Following an annual survey of the membership, which is conducted to assess the educational needs of the members, the committee works with the MCMLA conference Continuing Education Chair to select and present CE classes of interest to MCMLA attendees. Members of the committee assist also in coordinating arrangements with those who are presenting courses. The Chair maintains communication with other MLA regional representatives and attends a meeting at MLA with this group.
